About Me
Hello, I'm Emmanuel Ebri, a full stack developer based in Lagos, Nigeria with 2+ years building web and mobile products end to end. I design the database schema, build and secure the API, then write the interface that sits on top of it. React, Next.js and React Native on the front, Node.js and Express over PostgreSQL or MongoDB behind.
I came to engineering from public health. I finished a B.Sc. at the University of Calabar and led the National Association of Public Health Students before I wrote code for a living, and the platform I work on now is a telehealth product connecting patients to counsellors. Knowing what a missed appointment actually costs someone changes how carefully you build a booking flow.
Since then the work has spread across healthcare, education, fintech and e-commerce. Role-based dashboards behind JWT and email OTP. A three-app monorepo sharing six internal packages across three portals, which cut duplicated code by 60%. Paystack instalment payments with idempotent webhooks, because a confirmation that arrives twice should still only charge once. Different domains, same standard: secure, fast and obvious the first time you use it.
I work remote and Agile, in code review and pairing, and I put tests on the things that cost money or trust when they break. I also write about the parts that are easy to get wrong: reviewing code you did not write, idempotency, error messages that tell users the truth about their money. Most of that was learned by shipping something that broke first.

A telehealth platform with three distinct user roles, a distributed Agile team and 8+ feature modules in flight, where every booking, message and dashboard had to work end to end across a Python backend and a browser client that stayed faithful to 30+ Figma designs.
Owned features from schema to screen: designed FastAPI endpoints with typed Pydantic models, implemented JWT auth with email OTP verification and role-scoped access, then consumed those contracts in a React and Next.js frontend written in TypeScript and styled with TailwindCSS, all shipped through structured GitHub workflows on two-week sprints.
Shipped role-based dashboards and a full session booking flow on schedule, with a typed API contract that removed frontend and backend guesswork and cut review-to-merge time by 20%.

A large share of the code I ship each week was drafted in seconds by a model. Reading it takes far longer than generating it did, and that is now the job.
Generated code does not fail randomly. It is correct as a description of the happy path, and silent about the environment it will run in.
